What should you automate first?
Start with a task that is frequent, repetitive and easy to check.
| Task | What the automation does | Human role | What you measure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Common questions on LINE or WhatsApp | Answers from your own content: services, hours, policies | Staff take over complex chats | Response time |
| Quote and booking requests | Collects the details and drafts the quote or booking | A person approves before sending | Time to quote |
| Follow-ups and reminders | Chases open quotes, unpaid invoices, appointments | You set the rules and tone | Reply and payment rates |
| Data entry | Reads invoices, forms and emails, fills your CRM or spreadsheet | Checks on flagged items | Hours saved, errors |
| Reporting | Sends a weekly summary of sales or inquiries | You choose the figures | Time saved |
How does a LINE chatbot work?
LINE is the most popular messaging app in Thailand, and businesses talk to customers through a LINE Official Account. The LINE Messaging API connects that account to a server: each customer message triggers a webhook, an automatic notification sent to the bot, which then answers through LINE.
- Answers from your content. An AI model replies from your services, policies and hours, with clear limits on what it may say.
- A rich menu. The buttons at the bottom of the chat lead to bookings, orders or a person.
- Handover to staff. The bot steps aside when a question is sensitive or the customer asks for someone.
- Message volume. A LINE Official Account can send a certain number of messages each month for free, depending on its plan; we check current plans at project time.
We connect LINE through its API, as we do WhatsApp. For a hotel or villa, it pairs well with a website in Phuket.
When do you need the WhatsApp Business Platform?
LINE is where Thai customers expect you; international customers, travellers and overseas partners often write on WhatsApp. Many businesses need both.
- The WhatsApp Business app is free and runs on one phone, for manual replies.
- The WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) adds automation, several agents, and connections to your CRM and AI.
- Pricing: since 1 July 2025, Meta charges per delivered message, by category and recipient country, and the rules for service replies change again from 1 October 2026. Check Meta’s current rate card at project time.
- Templates: messages you start outside the 24-hour window after a customer’s last message must use templates approved by Meta.

What can AI agents and workflows do for your team?
An AI agent uses a language model to carry out a task with your tools: read a request, look up a customer, draft a document, update a record.
-
Quotes
Reads a request from LINE, WhatsApp or email, checks your catalogue and rules, and drafts the quote for approval.
-
Follow-ups
Chases unanswered quotes and unpaid invoices with personalised messages, on the schedule you set.
-
Data entry
Extracts data from invoices, receipts and PDFs, in Thai or English, into your spreadsheet, CRM or accounting.
-
Simple workflows
Not everything needs AI. n8n (which can run on your own server) or Make link forms, Google Sheets, Gmail, Slack, HubSpot and any API.
We pick the model per task among OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Mistral or DeepSeek, with LangChain when the logic requires it. An agent can also live inside your mobile app or your company website.
Can ChatGPT or Claude work with your business data?
Yes, through MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard launched by Anthropic in November 2024 to connect AI assistants to tools and data. OpenAI and Google adopted it, and in December 2025 it was entrusted to the Agentic AI Foundation, under the Linux Foundation. An MCP server exposes your data with controlled permissions (modelcontextprotocol.io).
This is how Mia, the AI assistant we built for the Madata ERP, reads and updates sales, accounting and stock, and answers inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Mistral. Read the Mia case study (French) or our guide to MCP servers (French).
How do PDPA and human approval fit in?
Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), fully in force since 1 June 2022 and inspired by the GDPR, applies to every chatbot and agent that handles customer data. Our rules:
- Customers know they are talking to an assistant and can reach a person
- Only the data the task needs, with a stated purpose and retention period
- Human approval before quotes, refunds, payments or mass messages
- Limited permissions and a log of every action the agent takes
- Model providers chosen after checking their data terms
- Code, prompts, workflows and accounts handed over to you

Frequently asked questions about AI automation in Thailand
What is the difference between a LINE Official Account and a LINE chatbot?
A LINE Official Account is your business profile on LINE, which customers add as a friend and message. A chatbot is software connected to that account through the LINE Messaging API: it receives each message by webhook and answers automatically, for example with an AI model working from your own content, then hands over to your staff when needed.
Should our chatbot be on LINE or on WhatsApp?
Often both. LINE is the most popular messaging app in Thailand, so Thai customers expect to reach you there, while international customers, travellers and overseas partners often use WhatsApp. Jingi Agency can connect the same assistant to both channels, with one knowledge base, one set of rules and a shared handover to your team.
How much does WhatsApp Business Platform messaging cost?
Since 1 July 2025, Meta charges per delivered message, with rates that depend on the category (marketing, utility, authentication or service) and the recipient’s country. The rules for service replies change again from 1 October 2026. Rates are updated often, so we check Meta’s current rate card at project time and list these costs separately from our quote.
Can an AI agent send quotes or messages on its own?
It can, but we recommend human approval for anything that commits your business: quotes, refunds, payments or messages to many customers. The agent prepares the draft and a person validates it in one click. Routine tasks, such as reminders or data entry, can run on their own once you trust them, with a log of every action.
What is MCP, and why does it matter for our business?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard launched by Anthropic in November 2024 that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini use your tools and data. An MCP server exposes that data with controlled permissions. Jingi Agency built one for Mia, the assistant of the Madata ERP, which reads and updates sales, accounting and stock.
How do you handle PDPA with chatbots and AI agents?
Thailand’s PDPA has been fully in force since 1 June 2022. We collect only the data each task needs, explain why it is collected, set retention periods, restrict access and log what the automation does. Customers can reach a person at any time, and model providers are chosen after checking how they handle your data.
